Venezuelan teacher visits BHS

Mary Colmenares, a 3rd grade teacher from Venezuela, spoke to the Brantley High 7th-12th grade students on Thursday, September 10.
She shared stories from her childhood and relayed the vast differences in American and Venezuelan schools.
She has been staying with Harry and Penny Driggers in Brantley for the past few weeks.
Mary met the Driggers family through their participation in mission trips to her country.
Mary has attended many school and community functions while visiting in Brantley.
She will soon return to her home in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
She is pictured above with the BHS Student Council officers and representatives.
