Highland Home woman dies in accident

A Highland Home woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident early Monday morning, according to an Alabama Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Division report.
The accident took place at 7:50 a.m. about five miles south of Highland Home on Hwy. 331 in Crenshaw County.
Lucille Warren, 74, of Highland Home, was traveling in a 1996 Nissan Altima and was fatally injured in the accident.
Leslie T. Skaggs, 59, and Patricia A. Skaggs, 67, both of Minford, Ohio, were injured in the accident and taken to Crenshaw Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 3, at Faith
Walk Ministries Church, Luverne, Ala.
Rev Derek Sowell and Rev. Steve Defee will be officiating.
The family will receive friends at Faith Walk Ministries one hour prior to
services. Interment will follow in the Sardis Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Warren, Highland Home; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Debbie Warren,
Luverne, Ala.; one foster son, John T. Hughes, Highland Home; one brother and sister-in-law, James H. and Mary Best,
Sardis, Ala.
