In preparation for next week’s opening game, the Greenville Tigers are all set to take on the Luverne Tigers in a jamboree this Friday.
Before that matchup rolls around, head coach Ben Blackmon said Greenville has some improving to do.
“We’ve got to get better,” he said simply. “We’ve got to keep working on things like fundamentals.”
While Greenville has fought the normal number of bumps and bruises from practice, it seems that none of those injuries have been severe and the Tigers will be at full strength on Friday.
“We don’t have anybody hurt, knock on wood,” Blackmon said.
Greenville ended last week with a scrimmage, which was followed by a lock-in to help promote team unity.
“It was good scrimmage and we had some good fellowship,” he said. “We fed them well, and they had all kinds of activities like playing X-Box to take part in.”
The jamboree is set for 6:30 p.m. in Luverne.
Greenville will play Daleville first, followed by a matchup with the homestanding Tigers.
