CLAS elects Eiland as AASSP Director

Joseph Eiland, Principal at Highland Home School in Highland Home, has been elected AASSP Director of the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) Board of Directors.
CLAS is the statewide professional organization for school and school system administrators consisting of over 3,000 members.
The Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals (AASSP) is the professional association for Alabama’s high school principals and an affiliate of CLAS.
“Joseph will be an excellent leader for CLAS,” Executive Director Earl Franks said. “He will continue the CLAS standard of putting children first.”
The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools coordinates and facilitates the resources of all members for the advancement of public education.
CLAS members support child advocacy and quality professional development as the two most important functions of this umbrella organization. CLAS is headquartered in downtown Montgomery, Alabama.
The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools is an umbrella association that serves eleven different affiliates comprised of Alabama’s public school administrators.
CLAS is dedicated to providing the framework to connect dedicated school administrators and other successful leaders with a network for professional growth and support.
