On Friday, Aug. 7, Pepsi of Luverne celebrated the retirement of Robert Pritchett with a luncheon in his honor.
“Mr. Robert”, as he is known to his fellow employees, began his career with Pepsi in 1965.
Hired by the late George Turner, Pritchett said that he was proud to have worked for three of the four-generation owners of the company.
He has worked in almost every department at Pepsi with the longest being 29 years in the warehouse.
When asked what his plans are for retirement, Pritchett said he plans to fish, rest, and sit under the shade tree where he will share stories from the book he has written about his career at Pepsi.
He said he is sure to miss his many friends at Pepsi but considers his retirement a blessing.
