A shiny, new ‘Haven’

A new business has opened along the main street of Brantley, and it’s one that will bring lots of shine and lots of sequins to the storefront windows.

Haven’s Place, located at 9486 South Main Street next to Bulldog Video, celebrated its official grand opening on July1 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and refreshments afterwards.

The owner, 1991 BHS alumnus Carey Miles, is excited about the new venture.

“This is a great opportunity not only for me, but also for the town of Brantley,” Miles said. “We’ve been very glad about everything that has happened.”

Haven’s Place, which happens to be named after Miles’ daughter, features prom and pageant dresses for sale and for rent. She will also have tux rentals, plus plenty of Brantley High School tee shirts. Miles is really proud, however, of her Emerald Wave Marching Band tee shirts for Brantley School.

“I’ve thought about adding BHS sweatshirts and long sleeve tee shirts when football season starts,” she said.

And once prom season hits, Miles said she’ll be putting prom and pageant shoes on display.

“We even have a gift shop that includes different inspirational items,” she added.

Miles, who has been a Farmers Insurance Agent for 11 years, is looking forward to seeing both venues grow.
