The Board of Trustees of Pioneer Electric Cooperative, Inc. has scheduled this year’s annual meeting of the membership for October 17, 2009. This year’s meeting will be held in Selma at the Southside High School Auditorium.

At the annual meeting trustees will be elected from Districts 1, 4 and 7 which are presently served by Tommy Thompson, Tom Duncan and John Henry, respectively.

To be placed on the ballot, a nominee must obtain 25 signatures of members living in the district and turn them in to Pioneer by August 17, 2009.

“The strength of our cooperative comes from our members who want to get involved and stay informed on the issues affecting their coop.” Steve Harmon, General Manager of Pioneer Electric, said. “Each year we look forward to meeting our member-owners one on one at our annual meeting and we encourage everyone to make plans to attend and meet our staff, employees and those representing you on our Board of Trustees.”
