The Greenville 14-year-old All-Stars faced some stiff competition in their weekend tournament, losing both of their games.
In the first game, Greenville faced off against Enterprise and lost 16-1.
After moving to the losers’ bracket, Greenville lost to Luverne in a 4-3 heartbreaker.
“We played well in the second game, but it was just one of those things,” said head coach Matt Moorhead. “Christopher McCullough pitched the whole game for us, and he did an excellent job.”
Greenville lead 3-0 until the sixth inning, when Luverne made their comeback.
Dustin Moorhead, Jason Schofield, Dylan Jones and McCullough all had hits for Greenville.
Moorhead and Jones also recorded RBIs.
