The Luverne Lady Tiger Softball Team traveled to Gulf Shores on Friday and Saturday to participate in the South Regional

Tournament.

“In Game 1, we lost a heartbreaker Friday morning to Choctaw County 1-0,” head coach Dale Simmons said.

However, the team bounced back from the loss to defeat Abbeville 15-2

on Friday afternoon.

In Game 3 on Saturday, the Lady Tigers plated 5 runs in the 1st inning and held on to defeat a strong Headland squad 9-5. They then played

Wicksburg in Game 4 and lost another close game, 6-4.

The team finished fourth, which placed them in the “Sweet 16” to end the season.
