Senator Wendell Mitchell presented Luverne School with $15,000 for completion of several key projects.

Among these are technological improvements to the high school media center.

Out-of-date computers were replaced with 9 state-of-the-art computers, a multi-purpose laser printer, and a computerized library system to better catalog and track media items available to students and faculty.

Campus safety will also be improved by the installation of eight new surveillance cameras. Maintenance and aesthetic improvements will be made to the front entrance of the main building with remaining funds being designated for use by the football athletic program.

Principal Chuck Alford thanked Senator Mitchell for his continued support of Luverne School.

“Senator Mitchell works diligently to find ways to support our youth,” Alford said. “He shares with us the desire to offer our students the best educational experience possible.”
