The Brantley Bulldogs are now heading into the third round of the Class 1A playoff pairings after beating Geneva County 12-3 and 7-2 last Friday.
Chase Hall and Stephen Walker got the wins on the mound for the Bulldogs.
“We played really good defense, and both Chase and Stephen pitched well,” BHS head baseball coach Ashley Kilcrease said. “I thought we played our best baseball of the year
last week.”
At the plate Chris Walker had a big day with a three-run homerun in Game 1, while he also added two more big hits in Game 2. Jared Hall had 4 hits, while Adam
Hill, Reed Kilcrease, and Anthony Gulley all added two hits each.
The Bulldogs will now host J.U. Blacksher Friday, May 1, with the first game beginning at 3:30 p.m. and the second game at 5:30.
“This will be our last home game for our two seniors, Anthony Gulley and Stephen Walker,” Kilcrease said. “So, we sure want to send them out with a bang.”
