Dear editor,

I continuously find dogs abandoned at the old Halso Mill site.

I have been feeding a beautiful black and white dog and her two puppies.

I cannot believe that people can be so cruel as to put out dogs to starve when we have an animal shelter where they could take them to be in a shelter from the weather. The old Halso Mill site is a disgrace to Butler County – with beer bottles, all kinds of trash, deer hides, and all matters of junk.

I hope the county commission will look into this problem.
