HOSA students place in Gadsden

Luverne High School’s HOSA (Health Occupations students of America) traveled to Gadsden, Ala., for HOSA competition on March 7, and had three members to place in three separate divisions.
The competition was held at Gadsden City High School.
There were 33 students and 9 chaperones that attended. LHS had students place in three divisions. Shanequia Harrell placed 2nd in Prepared Speaking. RonQuisha Myers placed 1st in Dental spelling. Curtis Foster, Rekia Tyson, Kierra Thompson, Fatima Townsend, Marquitra Smith, and LaShockary Mitchell placed 1st in Public Service Announcement. Kyla Brown placed 3rd place in Medical spelling. The HOSA Advisor at LHS is Mrs. Becky Odom, RN.
