Greenville police arrested three juveniles following a breaking and entering reported on Gamble St. Monday night.
The juveniles, ages 15, 16 and 16, were arrested after 10 p.m. near Commerce St., approximately 20 minutes after the robbery occurred.
Courtney said the suspects tripped a silent alarm at the residence – gaining entrance by kicking in a carport door – but were also caught in the act by the homeowners, who had just arrived home. The suspects fled the scene.
Police searched the suspects for weapons, discovering several pocketknives and a pack of batteries reported stolen by the victim.
They were each charged with burglary, 3rd degree, and transported to juvenile detention centers in Montgomery and Bay Minette. – From Staff Reports
