In response to a request by Dr. Joseph B. Morton, State Superintendent of Education, Luverne School Future Business Leaders of America participated in the Alabama Career Technical Education Month Communication Plan by sponsoring the “What It Means to Be a Successful Business Leader in Today’s Global World” Essay Contest.
Students were asked to submit a 500 word essay detailing preparation, skills, and knowledge needed to succeed in the “world” of business.
The winning essay was written by Devon Corbitt; the honorable mention essays were written by Kristian Chavers and Jamie Turnage.
The 2009 chapter of the Luverne School Future Business Leaders of America club boasts 49 members. Mrs. Regina Thomas is the club adviser.
