CCA drama students place in competition

Six students from Crenshaw Christian Academy attended the AISA state drama competition at Faulkner University in Montgomery on Friday, January 23rd.

CCA competed in three categories: Monologue, Duet, and Ensemble.

Senior Jae Mills placed 1st with his monologue entitled, “Hell or High Water.” Jae has competed in several speech competitions since his 10th grade year. Senior Rayni Holmes and junior Sadie Jones placed 3rd with their duet entitled, “God.”

The entire ensemble placed 2nd with their rendition of a short play entitled, “Nine Reasons Not To Be In A Play.” It brought the house down. Every single one of the students who participated in the drama competition was named to the AISA All-State Cast, which is a first for CCA.

Congratulations to Mr. Jim Head, drama and choral director, and to all the students who participated in the state drama competition.
