2009 holiday garbage schedule

Garbage scheduled to be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 25 in Greenville will be picked up on Friday, Dec. 26 instead. The city will be closed for the Christmas holidays.

The City of Greenville has also released its holiday garbage pick-up schedule for 2009. The schedule is as follows:

– New Year’s Day, Jan. 1: Thursday route will be picked up on Friday, Jan. 2. All other routes will remain the same.

– Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 19: Monday’s rout will be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 20. All other routes will remain the same.

– Memorial Day, May 25: Monday’s route will be picked up on Thursday, May. 26. All other routes will remain the same.

– Independence Day, July 4: The City of Greenville will close on Friday, July 3 for Independence Day. The Friday, July 3 route will be picked up on Monday, July 6. All other routes will remain the same.

-Labor Day, Sept. 7: Monday’s route will be picked up on Thursday, Sept. 8. All other routes will remain the same.

– Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11: Wednesday’s route will be picked up on Tuesday, Nov. 12. All other routes will remain the same.

– Thanksgiving, Nov. 26: Thursday’s route will be picked up on Wednesday’s Nov. 25. Friday’s route will be picked up on Monday, Nov. 30. All other routes will remain the same.

– Christmas Day, Dec. 25: Friday’s route will be picked up on Monday, Dec. 28. All other routes will remain the same.
