Luverne High School Homecoming slated for Friday

Luverne High School will celebrate homecoming October 24, 2008. The Class of 1999 will be honored guests for all the day’s activities.
A reception will be held for the alumni at 10 a.m. in the high school library. Formal presentation of the queen and her court will be at 11 a.m. in the gymnasium. A homecoming parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served to the returning class Friday night in the cafeteria, and they will be special guests at the LHS – Straughn football game that night.
Reigning over the day’s activities is Homecoming Queen Ashley Hall. Ashley, a senior, is the daughter of Ms. Shirley Hall and Mr. Donald Arnold. Members of her royal court are: Senior Attendant – Miss Lacey Jones, daughter of Tracey Jordan and Greg Jones, Junior Attendant – Miss Jalecia Willis, daughter of Ms. Letha Willis and Mr. & Mrs. Christopher Hamilton, Sophomore Attendant – Miss Mackenzie Blackmon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Blackmon and Freshman Attendant is Miss Tori Free, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Free. Scepter Bearer is Little Miss Reagan Lawrence, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lawrence. Crown Bearer is Master Austin Archie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Archie.
Football sweethearts for 2008 are Cami Gorey, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Chuck Franklin and Mr. & Mrs. Chuck Gorey, and Ronquisha Myers, daughter of LaQuanda Peterson and Ronnie Myers. These young ladies are members of the senior class and were selected by the LHS football team.
Football spirits are Little Dalaejah Lowery, daughter of Lakiela Harris and Dale Lowery, and Master Nacardyen Ball, son of Lawrence Ball, Jr., and LaQuita Pate.
