An interesting array of games

This week, we have an usual assortment of games.

On one hand, we have Fort Dale and Georgiana both looking for some key region wins.

On the other hand, Greenville and McKenzie are playing homecoming games.

To make things even more interesting, McKenzie is playing on Saturday for Blacksher’s homecoming.

It’ll be an interesting week, to say the least.

Greenville vs Andalusia

In this renewing of an old rivalry, both teams started the season off a little slow.

The difference is that Greenville seems to be moving in the right direction while Andalusia is still struggling.

Nico Johnson will no doubt be a force, but he’s only one player.

I expect Greenville to come out on top in front of one of their biggest crowds of the year.

Fort Dale vs Macon-East

Fort Dale took the trip up I-65 and took out Hooper last week, and I expect they’ll keep rolling this week.

The Eagles have everyone healthy, and it means a lot to have a consistent group working together throughout the week.

Fort Dale will be looking to keep moving up in the region, and I think that’ll happen against Macon-East.

Georgiana at Fruitdale

Georgiana looked impressive against Frisco City last week, but this is a long trip to deal with.

Even though the Panthers lost at Shelby County, they still played well against a much larger opponent, so I don’t think the distance will be a factor.

As long as Georgiana doesn’t lose focus on the way to the game or lose their cool once they get into the game, they have a very good chance to win.

McKenzie at J.U. Blacksher

This game will be played Saturday, which is interesting, to say the least.

The Bulldogs are a good team, but it’s only a matter of time before they lose their first game.

Unfortunately for them, I think that loss will come on homecoming.

As long as McKenzie doesn’t let the day affect them, they should be able to take down Blacksher.
