Fire departments receive funding

Each department within the Crenshaw County Volunteer Fire Department Association received a check for $1,922.69.

The Alabama Legislature has set aside funding in order to aid local volunteer fire departments with needed items, such as new equipment, insurance payments, turnout gear, and training.

Rep. Charles Newton and Senator Wendell Mitchell have been instrumental in getting this support for local VFDs.
