A Greenville teenager was killed in a one-car accident on U.S. Highway 31 Monday, according to Alabama State Troopers.
Troopers said Amy Nicole Skipper, 18, of Greenville lost control of the Saturn automobile she was driving at approximately 10:07 a.m. on Monday morning and was fatally injured in the accident.
Skipper was a student at Greenville High School last year. English teacher Stephanie Grayson remembers a “highly intelligent, wonderful girl.”
“She was a joy to have in class,” said Grayson. “And she was special in her own way. We formed a relationship, a bond. I’m deeply saddened by her death.”
Grayson taught Skipper for three years at GHS.
Funeral services for Skipper will be held today at 3 p.m. from Antioch West Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Skipper will lie-in-repose at the church from 2:30 p.m. until the start of funeral services.
