Oscar &uot;Riley&uot; Whiddon, age 87, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at his home in Honoraville.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2008 from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Newton officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

Burial followed at Damascus Cemetery. The family received friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 22 at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.

Mr. Whiddon was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Daniel Whiddon, and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his son, Dan Whiddon of Honoraville; daughter Sue Whiddon (Harry) Steck of Beavercreek, Ohio; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews. Online condolences may be made at www.dunklinanddaniels.com.
