Lee Ramsey, 66, died June 4, 2008 at Crowne Health Care in Greenville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the James Herbert Funeral Chapel in Greenville with Minister Edna Simmons officiating. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery with James Herbert Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Ramsey was born on June 19, 1941 to Katie Ramsey Poole and Bishop Ramsey. Although he was absent in presence for many years, he maintained a faithful spiritual presence with God every day.

He is survived by: a mother, Katie Ramsey Poole of Greenville; two sisters, Mary Louise Ramsey and Pricilla Ramsey Davis, both of Bronx, N.Y.; two brothers, James Ramsey of Greenville and John Ramsey of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one aunt, Elise Marshall of Birmingham, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
