Jewel Branum

Jewel Branum, age 84, a resident of Greenville, died with her family beside her in Fairhope on Tuesday, June 17, 2008.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 20 at Harrison Funeral Home with grandson Matthew B. Miller officiating.
Interment followed in Sunrise Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing. A visitation was held one hour prior to service.
She was the daughter of Joseph and Bena Head, and sister to Roger, Tommy, Newton, Joe and Wade Head.
Jewel was a devoted wife to Rastus Branum for 62 years and adoring mother and grandmother. She is survived by: daughter, Diana Branum Miller of Fairhope; grandchild, Matthew (Elizabeth) Miller and great-grandson, Logan; daughter, Laurin Diana Karadimos (Brian) and great-grandson, Brian Mathew.
Jewel not only deeply loved her immediate family, but also her extended family, friends and neighbors. Jewel also provided nurturing care for children in her home for years. She was known for her gentle Christian spirit and incredible cooking talents.
