Tim Cooper and the Rev. Daryl Freeman officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery with Johnson Funeral home of Georgiana directing. Vistation ws Daturday, Oct. 13

Survivors include: his companion, Martha Croley of Greenville; son, Steve Roper of Jemison; daughter, Lisa Posey of Jemison; mother, Syble Roper of Jemison; four brothers, Jerry Roper, Gary roper, Jimmy Roper and Ralph Roper, all of Jemison and two grandchildren.
