The McKenzie Pee Wee Association will be holding their 2007 player and cheerleader registration on July 9 and 12 from 6 to 8 p.m at Williams-Vickery Field.
&uot;If something happens, like if it rains, and we have to move it, once people get there, they’ll see where we are,&uot; said Greg Griffin.
Everyone interested should attend one registration so that uniforms and equipment can be ordered and plans can be made for the upcoming season.
&uot;Last year, the first one was real slow, and I think people waited until closer to the time school started,&uot; Griffin said. &uot;I hope people won’t do that this time, because it makes planning a lot easier.&uot;
&uot;It’s especially important for cheerleaders,&uot; he continued. &uot;Last year, we signed up cheerleaders up to the last minute, and it was hard and too expensive to make special cheerleader uniform orders.&uot;
All cheerleaders who register on July 9 and 12 will become members of a squad, but after July 12, only registrations for squads with less than twelve members can be accepted.
The registration fee is $25 per child, and there will be a $35-per-child deposit on cheerleader uniforms due when the uniform is issued.
When the uniform is returned in good condition at the end of the season, the deposit will be returned.
&uot;You can also buy the uniform outright,&uot; Griffin said.
Griffin said that raffle tickets will be offered to sell during the season in order to offset registration costs.
