Vipers regroup following first loss of the season

Tara Gibson was 3-for-3 with a double and run scored Saturday as the Vipers pulled off the Jr./Sr. league victory over the Unbelievable, 7-4.

At the plate for the Vipers (5-5), Te'Lisha McDonald was 2-for-2 with a homerun and two runs scored, Abbey Blackmon was 2-for-3 with a double, Cory Rice was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Murphy Middleton was 1-for-3 with a run scored, Cortnee Meyers was 1-for-3 and Heather Blackmon and Stormi Till each scored a run.

For the Unbelievable (1-7), Priscilla Collins was 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored, Chastidy Jenkins was 2-for-3 with a double, Nikia Powell was 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored, Shantzel Peagler was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Keyuna Betton was 1-for-3.

The Vipers will once again take on the Unbelievable Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Gators 8, Vipers 1

Kristen Ballard was 2-for-2 with a triple, a double and a run scored Saturday to help lift the Gators to victory over the Vipers, 8-1.

Offensively for the Gators (8-1), Erin Taylor was 1-for-3 with a run scored while Jenny Ballard scored two runs and Lori Fail, Kairee Newton, Anne Blake Langford and Dakota Cantrell each scored a run.

For the Vipers, Murphy Middleton was 1-for-2 and Tara Gibson scored a run.

The Gators will take on the Dolls Thursday at 6 p.m.

Dolls 9, Unbelievable 5

Michelle Hulick and Shawnee Morrison each had two hits Saturday to spark the Dolls to victory over the Unbelievable, 9-5.

At the plate for the Dolls (3-6), Hulick was 2-for-3 with a double, Morrison was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Julie Scott was 1-for-3 with two runs scored, Carrie Coker was 1-for-2 with two runs scored, Kate Spann was 1-for-3 with a run scored and Kendria Williams also scored a run in the win.

For the Unbelievable, Shan Peagler and Tamara Truitt were each 1-for-3 with a run scored, Priscilla Collins was 1-for-3, Chastidy Jenkins scored two runs and Nicole Norton scored one.

The Dolls will take on the Gators Thursday at 6 p.m.

Dolls 6, Vipers 1

Carrie Coker scored three runs Saturday as the Dolls handed the Vipers their first loss of the season, 6-1.

Offensively for the Dolls, Michelle Hulick was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, Casey Hicks was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Adrianne Rudolph was 1-for-2, Elizabeth Richardson was 1-for-3 and Coker scored three runs.

For the Vipers, Katie Wilson and Anne Blake Langford were each 1-for-3 with a double, Kairee Newton was 1-for-3 and Erin Taylor scored a run.
