Thursday, May 3, has been designated as the National Day of Prayer. In accordance with this, the Greenville Ministerial Association is hosting a prayer service at noon on Thursday on the steps of City Hall.

&#8220This is an opportunity for our community to come together and pray for the needs of our churches, school and local officials as well as our national leaders and our military,” said Rev. Fred Lindstrom, rector of Saint Thomas Episcopal Church and chairman of the Greenville Ministerial Association.

The 30-minute prayer service will be lead by various members of the GMA and special music, arranged by Margie Kennedy of First Baptist Church, is also planned. Mayor Pro-Tem Jeddo Bell will also speak at the event.
