Blue Jays come from behind to down Lady Tide

The Blue Jays scored five runs in the final inning Monday, taking the come-from-behind Dixie Angels victory over the Lady Tide, 7-5.

Offensively for the Blue Jays (3-3), Rhiya Daniel and Madison McNaughton each had a pair of hits while Olivia Foster, Devin Duke, Chelsey Mink, Kirtsten Jordan and Mary Glenn Fuller each had one, including a homerun by Fuller in the fourth.

Each hitter also scored a run in the win.

For the Lady Tide (1-5), Mallory Conway, Callie Waite, Alexia Johnson and Madison Gibson each had two hits while Charli Hood and Lakonna Powell each had one.

The Blue Jays will take on the Rebels Monday at 7:30 p.m., and the Lady Tide will take on the Yellow Jackets Monday at 6 p.m.

Rebels 20, Yellow Jackets 9

The first five Rebel batters each scored three runs apiece Monday as the Rebels took the easy victory over the Yellow Jackets, 20-9.

Alex Merry, Taylor King, Carmen Till, Kindal Harrell and Taylor Waller each scored three runs for the Rebels (6-0) while Katelyn Brooks and Sarah Elizabeth Owens each scored two.

Emily Webster also scored in the win.

For the Yellow Jackets (2-4), Hannah Reaves, Breanna Clark and Ashlyn McKeown each had a pair of hits and a pair of runs scored, including a homerun by McKeown in the third inning.

The Rebels will take on the Blue Jays Monday at 7:30 p.m., and the Yellow Jackets will take on the Lady Tide Monday at 6 p.m.
