Community Prayer Breakfast returns to city

Greenville's citizens can once again enjoy a full breakfast and time for Christian fellowship together beginning next Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. The Community Prayer Breakfast is slated for the first Wednesday of each month at Emily's Caf\u00E9 and Gourmet Coffee, located on the Pineapple
Highway.
You might say the prayer breakfast has come full circle in the past couple of years.
“We started out with our community prayer breakfast here in Greenville at Cambrian Ridge, then moved to what was then Jan and Julie's,” said organizer Doyle Sasser.
“Later we moved it to Fort Deposit to Preister's dining room area. Now we are back in Greenville in the former Just Julie's location, now Emily's Caf\u00E9.”
Sasser, who is now working full-time in the Greenville area, said he believed the return to the Camellia City would allow more people to attend the event.
Great food will remain part of the prayer meeting, he promises.
“When we were meeting at Preister's, they were preparing a marvelous breakfast just for us. It's not a part of their regular menu. Now Linda is here in town as part owner with her sisters of Emily's, and they graciously agreed to allow us to meet in Greenville once again,” Sasser said.
Speakers on various inspirational topics are also planned for the monthly meetings, which are open to both men and women from throughout the community.
“We look forward to having more people join us for a great time of Christian fellowship,” Sasser said.
