July 5
n A report was filed on Sandcutt Road in Greenville for theft. Two chainsaws ($500), a Yamaha 4-wheeler ($2,200) and $200 cash were stolen from a residence.
n A report was filed on Old Stage Road in Greenville for burglary and theft. A Weed Eater, and a chainsaw were stolen and a window was broken, all totaling $550.
July 6
n A report was filed on Shadow Lane in Greenville for assault. A man was beaten with a pistol, a shotgun and the perpetrators' fists as he was trying to enter his car.
July 7
n A report was filed on Sherling Lake Road in Greenville for burglary and theft. Two men armed with knives entered a residence, stole $95 in cash and a Bible worth $100 before forcing the occupant into a bedroom closet. K-9 units were dispatched and tracked the suspects' scents through the woods, eventually recovering a pair of shoes and a pair of camouflage pants. The suspects may have also damaged phone lines in the area.
July 8
n A report was filed on Coach Road in Greenville for theft and harassment. A man's Motorola cell phone was stolen and the suspect continues to threaten the victim during phone calls.
July 10
n A report was filed on Montgomery Highway in Greenville for theft. A catfish mailbox worth $200 was stolen and the wooden mailbox post damaged.
