On April 9, 2005, Barbara and Price Jones of Greenville thought they were going to be part of a quiet 50th anniversary celebration with their children and grandchildren.

However, on their arrival in Newnan, Ga., the couple found all their brothers and sisters were also on hand to celebrate the happy occasion with them.

The longtime sweethearts were honored with presents and a luncheon, given by Mason and Anita Halacker, Tim and Karen Jones and Gary Jones.

Attending the anniversary luncheon were their grandchildren, Christi and Daniel Ingram, April Halacker and Price Jones; brothers and sisters, Opal Alldredge, Eloise Salter, Jennie and Jack Till, Ruth Morgan, Gail Yancey, and Mrs. Jones' mother-in-law, Mrs. Sam Gibson.
