SANDY RIDGE-Wenton Julian Payne Sr., a lifelong resident of Sandy Ridge, died Friday, August 5, 2005. Funeral services were held Monday, August 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Payne officiating.

Interment followed in the Sawyer Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home of Greenville directing. Visitation was held Sunday, August 7, 2005, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home.
