Jessica Shepard and Mike Carty were united in marriage on December 4, 2004 at the Cloverdale Baptist Church in Dothan.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron McGhee, Dothan, and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Shepard, Dothan.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carty, Fairhope.

Brother Dennis Singletary officiated at the ceremony. Kim Sellers of Savannah served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Adkins, the bride’s cousin, of Dothan; Jessica Thorpe, Loxley; Haley Estes, Wetumpka; Kristen Frazier, Birmingham; Blaire Chalker, Dothan and Lindsey Fell, Mobile.

The groom’s brother, David Carty, served as best man. Groomsmen were Todd Powell, Ft. Walton Beach; Daniel Blanton, Mobile; Hunter Fanda, Birmingham; Kevin Welsh, Foley; Mitch Vinson, Birmingham and Austin Adkins, cousin of the bride, of Dothan.

John Cole, Foley; Jeremy Borchardt, Foley and Ryan Wood, Birmingham, served as ushers.

The bride’s cousin, Haley Armstrong, Columbia, was flower girl for the ceremony, while Lucas Bartholett, Savannah, served as ring bearer. A reception at the Highland Oaks Gold Trail Clubhouse followed the ceremony. After a wedding trip to Saint Lucia, the couple is now residing at Fort Walton Beach.
