With high school football season upon us, there are some questions that may still need to be answered regarding the local teams.

Most of those answers can be found in today's edition of The Luverne Journal with our full-color High School Football preview magazine.

This is the first year Greenville Newspapers, LLC has produced a full-color magazine, that highlights teams in the tri-county area of Butler, Crenshaw and Lowndes.

The magazine features stories on Greenville, Fort Dale Academy, Georgiana, McKenzie, Lowndes Academy, Crenshaw Christian Academy, Luverne, Brantley and Highland Home schools.

The magazine provides an overview of each team and features a specific player or segment of players on each squad.

In addition to the articles on each team, the magazine's cover story is on two highly sought after players that are separated by just a small stretch of interstate. Josh Hawkins and Zane Stackhouse are considered two of the top recruits in the state this year.

Hawkins, a 6-foot-7, 315-pound offensive tackle from Greenville, is being recruited by Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Mississippi State and Louisville. Stackhouse, a 5-10, 180 -pound tailback from Georgiana, is being recruited by Auburn, Alabama, Southern Mississippi, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Ohio State and Columbia.
