County Back to School Bash set
Music, food, fun and prizes will all be a part of the evening this Friday, August 5, at Hank Williams Park in Georgiana.
The Third Annual County-wide &uot;Back 2 School&uot; Bash is slated to kick off at 6 p.m. at the park. The event is free, and all middle school, high school and church youth groups are invited to attend.
&uot;We have a great evening planned for the kids. We had more than 500 kids attend the event last year, and we are expecting 750 to 1,000 kids out there this year,&uot; Bryce Lar

Landwehr, a summer intern at First Baptist Church in Greenville, says all the county’s football teams, cheerleaders and coaches have been invited and are expected to attend the bash.
&uot;We hope to have some fun with the coaches on stage as part of our program. I think it will be a great night for all involved,&uot; Landwehr said.
Several praise bands are slated to perform on Friday night, and Jamie Crosson, the college and singles pastor at Dayspring Baptist in Mobile, will be the featured speaker at the event.
&uot;Jamie is also the keynote speaker at ‘Disciple Now’ at First Baptist that same weekend. He is a really great guy and I know folks will enjoy hearing him,&uot; Landwehr said.
And no one should leave the Back 2 School Bash hungry. &uot;We are planning on cooking 1,000 hot dogs that night,&uot; Landwehr said. Door prizes are also slated for give away that evening.
Friday night’s event is being sponsored by the Community Youth Association. For more information, contact Bryce Landwehr or Margie Kennedy at 382-5892.
