The Greenville Tigersharks swim team continues to show improvement each meet.

Even with five disqualifications, the Tigersharks finished second in a meet held July 7 at the Southeast YMCA in Montgomery.

The Maxwell Seahawks won the meet with 1,141 points, while Greenville finished with 1,029.

The Southeast Mighty Sharks took third place with 752, and the Kershaw Tiger Sharks were fourth with 197.

"The kid's mental and physical abilities have really come a long way since May," said Tigersharks coach Rebecca Mosley. "After competitions started, they see what it takes to compete and are stepping up to the plate."

The team received 28 first place ribbons, 15second place ribbons, 12 third place ribbons, 2 fourth place ribbons, 3 fifth place ribbons, 4 sixth place ribbons, and 2 eighth place ribbons.
