Board proves its worth with fast actions

We'll admit we were leery when the Board of Education announced it would conduct its search for a new superintendent on its own.
However, we'll be the first to say that throughout the process, we were amazed at the thoroughness of it all.
For those of you who did not attend the public interviews, which is a shame unto itself, the questions were insightful and also covered every aspect of the superintendent's job.
It just proved that this board planned to work very hard, with its own imposed deadline to get the right person in place.
So, to the Board, we say kudos on a job well done.
We look forward to Mr. Michael Looney's arrival in Butler County and to an open, honest relationship with him as our public school system goes to the next level.
