Mary Moorer

FT. PIERCE, FLA-Ms. Mary Moorer, of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and a former resident of Dutchbend, AL, died Sunday, June 12, 2005.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Zion Chapel with Rev. Anthony Thames, church pastor, and Rev. Leon Wilson officiating.

Burial followed in Hughes Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Home of Greenville directing.

Ms. Moorer was born on January 26, 1945, to the late Charlie and Bessie Lee Jordan Moorer.

She attended Lowndes County Training School and graduated in 1963.

She is survived by two sons, Quentin (Latonya) Brinson, of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Rodney (Cynthia Miles) Moorer, of Hayneville; one daughter, LaShonda Moorer, Fort Pierce, Fla.; four sisters, Essie Lee (Willie) Smith, of Pensacola, Fla., Ruby C. Moorer, of Chicago, IL, Louise Moorer, of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Susie Lee Thomas, of Dutchbend; four grandchildren, Quintinee, Quentin, Jr., Roddeja, and Rodney, Jr.; two special children, Quintavious and Quinshayla; two God-sons, Clifford Graham and Ivy Joe Crockett, Jr., both of Fort Pierce, Fla.; a special, loving friend, Helen Smith, of Fort Pierce, Fla.; a special cousin, Aaron Moss, of Detroit, Mich.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
