Till races to Late Model points lead

Jim Till's victory Saturday night over Jack Daughtery in the Late Model division propelled him to first place in the points race over William Smith.

Till's win, which was a continued feature race from two weeks ago because of rain, was coupled with a third-place finish in Saturday's scheduled feature race. He now has 65 points to lead the division, while Smith trails by four points. Daughtery is just five points from the leader.

Daughtery won the scheduled feature race and finished second behind till in the rain-delayed race. Ken Cartwright took second in the scheduled race.

Scott Meyers finished third in the rain-delayed race.

Rosie McLain edged Tiffany Simmons to claim the feature win in the Hogg front-wheel drive division. Johnny Beck took third, while Carey Stallworth was the heat race winner.

Gerald Brown top honors in the Street Stock division, while Brian Scurlock took second and points leader Will Henderson took third.

David Ward and Rodney Best were the heat race winners.

Wayne Crawley climbed to second place in the Pure Stock Hogg

rear-wheel drive division points race by winning the feature race, but he still remains 25 points out from leader Bo Jordan.

Jordan finished second in the feature race, and Robert Hutson III took third. Ashley Johnson won one heat race and Crawley won the second heat.

Charles Davis was 2-for-2 in the Super Hobbie division. Davis won the rain-shortened feature race and the scheduled feature on Saturday.

Arthur Sawyer finished second in the scheduled race, while David Windham was third.

Rusty Salter took second in the rain-delayed feature, while winning the heat race for the scheduled race. Randy Adams finished third.

Racing continues this Saturday with the gates opening at 4 p.m. with the races starting at 7 p.m.
