Henderson nips Lewis for Street Stock win

Will Henderson won his heat and then the feature race in the Street Stock division Saturday during a rain-shortened night of racing at the Butler County Dirt Track.

Henderson held off Chris Lewis for the win, while Duck Owens came in third.

Wayne Cawley took top honors in the Pure Stock Hogg rear-wheel drive race. Cawley also won his heat, while Ben Callen won the second heat. Robert Hutson III finished third in the feature race.

Johnny Beck won the Hogg front-wheel drive feature race by holding off Justin Smith.

Carey Stallworth, who also won his heat, finished third.

The mini sprint cars also came to the Butler County dirt track for the first time this season. Ray Stevison won the heat race and then went on to win the feature by holding off Ryan Barregarye. Jimmy Davidson finished third.

The Late Model and Super Hobbie feature races were rained out before they could be run.

Jack Daughtery was the heat winning in the Late Model division, while Randy Adams took the heat title in the Super Hobbie.

Racing will return to the Butler County Dirt Track this afternoon. Gates open at 4 p.m. with the races starting at 7 p.m.
