Ray plates game-winner for A#039;s

Josh Ray, who struck out 10 batters, scored the game-winning run with one out in the six inning to lift the A's over the Braves, 3-2, in Dixie Youth league action last Friday.
Ray also had a hit, and Wesley Hendrix had two hits and scored two runs.
Miller Owens and Ryan Smith had a hit and scored a run each for the Braves.
Nathan Branum also struck out 10 for the Braves.
Cardinals 8, Rangers 6
Jonathan Scott scattered three hits
and scored two runs to lead the Cardinals past the Rangers.
Rushe Nimmes also had two doubles and two RBIs for the Cardinals. Stuart Matthews chipped in two hits and scored two more runs.
Joshua Hamm led the Rangers with two hits.
Red Sox 4, Mets 3
Todd Burkett scored the game winning run in the sixth inning to lift the Red Sox past the Mets. Burkett had one hit on the day, which led to the game-winner.
Michael Gregor and Stephen Till also had a hit each for the Red Sox.
Jay Johnson led the Mets with a double and a triple. Brandon Smith followed with a hit and two runs scored.

Braves 4, Red Sox 3
Connally Walters drove home three of the Braves' four runs to top the Red Sox on Tuesday.
Daryl Starks and Nathan Branum chipped in two hits each for the Braves.
Jeremy McGinty scattered three hits and scored two runs for the Red Sox.
Rangers 8, A's 5
Kevin Taylor pounded out two hits, had three RBIs and scored a run to lead the Rangers over the A's.
Brandon Matthews also pitched in two hits and two runs scored for the Rangers.
Dalton Burns led the A's with a hit, two RBIs and a run scored.
Charlie Schofield, Mitch Young and Joshua Hamm had a hit and scored a run each.
Cardinals 9, Mets 8
Rush Nimmer pounded out three hits and scored three runs to lead the Cardinals past the Mets.
Hunter Armstrong added two hits and two runs scored, while Stuart Matthews had a hit and two runs scored. Cody Tesmer chipped in a run scored and had two RBIs.
Skyler McKeown pounded out two hits, had two RBIs and scored two runs for the Mets.
Mets 5, A's 4
Gray Vinson scored the winning run in the sixth inning Friday to lift the Mets over the A's 5-4. Vinson scored another run and had a double on the day.
Skylar McKeown was 2-for-3 with a triple to lead the Mets, while Ozell Carter had a hit.
Raymond Moody and Kevin Taylor had a hit each for the A's.
Braves 6, Rangers 1
The Braves jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back to cruise by the Rangers.
Miller Owens led the Braves with one hit.
Mitch Young accounted for the Rangers' lone run with a two-out solo home run in the fourth inning. Eli Blackmon also had a hit for the Rangers.
Dixie Angels
Heat 11, Panthers 1
Dana Moore blasted a home run and had two RBIs to lead the Heat past the Panthers.
Taylor Merry had a hit and scored a run for the Heat.
Laccey Barr scored the Panthers' only run.
Mite League
Indians 9, Cardinals 0
Joseph Peavy and Ryan Burkett scattered three hits and scored three runs each in the Indians' shutout win.
Jessie Kelley and Ross Till each had a hit for the Cardinals.
Yankees 20, Dodgers 0
Austin Vickery, JaKeem Davidson and C.J. Savage each hit a home run in the Yankees' victory over the Dodgers. JaQuan Lewis, Vickery and Davidson had three hits each.
Lewis hit two home runs and had three RBI's.
