Native sons Steve Norman, at top, and Rock Killough, above, performed at the latest Main Street Concert in the Park on Thursday evening. A large crowd brought blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy country ballads and blue-sy numbers performed by the two long-time friends. Killough, a musician-songwriter by profession, reminded everyone of the upcoming Hank Williams Festival slated for the first weekend in Georgiana. Featured performers will be the legendary Oak Ridge Boys, a group that has recorded ten of Killough’s tunes during their career. Another local musician, Clint Philpot, will be bringing his band to perform at next Thursday’s concert, slated for 6 p.m. at Confederate Park, weather permitting.
