The Brooks Assembly of God Church will be having its annual homecoming services on Sunday, May 15. The guest speaker will be Bro. Lawrence Arnette of Opp. Special singers will be "Called Out" from Andalusia.

The First Assembly of God of Greenville will hold a "Camp meeting" featuring the Rev. Curtis Silcox on May 15 at 10:30 a.m., 6 p.m. and on May 16 at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Homecoming services Homecoming services will be held Sunday, May 15, at Mount Olive East Baptist Church on McKenzie Grade Road. Services begin at 11 a.m. Dinner on the grounds will follow.

The new fellowship hall of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on West Railroad Avenue, Georgiana, will be dedicated Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Charles Lee, superintendent of the Tuscaloosa District of the United Methodist Church, will be the guest speaker.

The Luckie Reunion will be held Sunday, May 15, at Sherling Lake Park, pavilion no. 1. All relatives and friends are invited. A covered dish lunch will be served at noon.

May 16

The May Board of Education meeting will be held Monday, May 16, at 7 p.m. at R.L. Austin Elementary School. This is a change from the regular third Thursday meeting due to Greenville High School's graduation.

May 17

Free coupons to purchase fruits and vegetables will be given out on May 17 and 18 at the Greenville Multipurpose Senior Center

from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and at the Georgiana Multipurpose Senior Center from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Individuals 60 years and older are eligible.

May 20

On Friday May 20th at 7p.m., The Hendersons will be in concert at McKenzie Baptist Church located on Church Street in McKenzie.

The Call to Like Weekend Youth Rally and fish fry will be held Friday, May 20, through Sunday, May 22. Friday services will be held at 7 p.m. with Anthony Cole speaking and the Jam for Jesus program. Saturday's services begin at 4 p.m. at Sherling Lake Park. Cole will be preaching at 7 p.m. assisted by the Greenville area Praise and Worship Team. Cole will conclude on Sunday with the message "Chosen for destiny." All youth leaders and groups are invited.

May 21

Awin Baptist Church Hwy on Highway 10 West will host a singing and sell fish and chicken plates on Saturday, May 21.

The singing starts at 10 a.m. The plates will be ready at 10 a.m. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the fellowship and singing.

May 22

The First Assembly of God of Greenville will hold a family outreach program featuring the Rev. Curtis Silcox on May 22 at 6 p.m.

May 25

The Butler County Board of Education will conduct a work session on Wednesday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at the central office. The next regular session meeting will be held

Thursday, May 26, at 7 p.m. at the central office.

May 28

The Unity Club is sponsoring a benefit program for Kimberly Pate at Harrison Street Baptist Church on May 28 at 6:30 p.m. The Gospel Harmaires of Georgiana will be the featured group. All choirs, groups and soloists are asked to attend.
