Mr. Lane Harrison celebrated a century of life last month when he turned 100 years young. The Pine Needle resident enjoyed not one, but two birthday celebrations, Pine Needle Director Melissa Stringer said.

&uot; His Pine Needle Place family celebrated Mr. Lane’s birthday on the seventh, the day he turned one hundred. Then we had a second celebration with his family and church friends on the 10th of October. Both parties were just wonderful,&uot; Stringer said.

Harrison, a member of First United Methodist Church in Greenville, loves to sing and always enjoys the hymn singings held each week at the facility, Stringer said. His all-time favorite hymn is &uot;Church in the Wildwood&uot;.
