Some 86 family members and friends were in attendance for a 50th wedding anniversary dinner held in honor of Willard and Nell Hall on Aug. 5 at Lawhon's Family Restaurant.

The registration table was ornamented with an amrita gold flower arrangement. Thank you acknowledgement cards present on the table featured a portrait of Mr. And Mrs. Hall soon after they were married. The table also held a pearl white padded guest book.

The rooms were decorated with arrangements of amrita gold flowers accented with coffee beans and gold Gerber daisies. The tables were covered with white linen tablecloths and smaller arrangements of amrita gold roses. The room was highlighted with brass easels and various family portraits.

The guests were served a complete meal of meat, mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans. For dessert, a traditional style wedding cake with an amrita gold rose 50th anniversary topper was served. The cake table also held special 50th wedding anniversary napkins.

Mr. Hall wore a traditional style black suit, while Mrs. Hall wore a floor-length champagne dress with matching sequins.

The golden couple received numerous gifts.
