Races cancelled due to rain

Even though it’s good to have a dirt track damp for racing, it can sometimes be too wet.

Rains that lasted well through the afternoon last Saturday forced officials at the Butler County Motorsports Park to cancel races.

Although the cancellation disappointed many drivers and fans, safety is always the key.

With the rain out, the point’s race remains the same.

Randy Adams (92), Brandon Hood (86), Wayne Lee (53), Ryan Conway (40), Rusty Salter (36), Kenny Cartwright (19), Jack Daughtry (7) and Brandon Register (4) make up the Top 10 in hobby points.

Dewey Boggan currently leads the novice points standings with 108 points, followed by Chris Lewis with 85 points and Jimmy Johnson, who has 81 points.

Wayne Morris (74), Kenneth Harrison (57), Gerald Brown (47), David Ward (29), Jason Barrow (27), Artie Godwon (25) and Tim McDonald (25) are among the Top 10 drivers in novice points.

Todd Adams currently holds a 25-point lead over Will Henderson in the rear-wheel HOGG division with 146 points. Henderson currently has 121 points.

Wayne Cawley (106), Ben Callen (85), Ashley Johnson (74), Jack Callen (61), Bill Conway (48), Chad Edwards (48), Carey Pugh (30) and Robby Price Sr. (18) round out the Top 10 drivers in the rear-wheel HOGG point’s race.
