GHS grad and Tiger offensive lineman Reggie Johnson was the lone football player chosen to play for the south football team during the summer football game.

&uot;He did well for a lineman,&uot; GHS Head Coach Alvin Briggs said.

The 6-foot, 252-pounder teamed up with 35 other standouts that made up the south squad.

Greenville’s senior guard Devoski McMeans had the chance to shoot hoops with the south’s best as the only player from Greenville chosen to play on the south’s elite squad. McMeans, 6-foot-1, 172 pounds will be a mainstay for the Tigers on the hard court this upcoming season. He averaged 15.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game last year as a junior.

The Lady Tigers’ senior guard Jessica Powell was also chosen to play ball with the south’s most talented basketball players.

She averaged 13.2 points and 2.5 steals per game.
