The Luverne Parks and Recreation 11- and 12-year-old All-Stars advanced to the District Tournament in Geneva, Alabama after finishing second in the Sub-District 3 Tournament in Georgiana.

The team began the tournament with a big win over the Troy Americans, 3-1. After losing the next game to Greenville (4-0), the team posted wins over Highland Home (2-0) and again Troy Americans (5-1) for the right to face Greenville in the championship game, 8-1.

Luverne will start District play with a game July 12, at 8 p.m. against the hosting Geneva All-Stars.
