Troy downs Enterprise 7-6 in 11 innings

It took four hours and 36 minutes for Troy to overcome Enterprise Monday night in the 14-year-old Dixie Boys District 6 tournament hosted by Greenville.
The game remained tied 0-0 until Enterprise scored two runs in the top of the ninth. Troy answered in the bottom of the inning with two runs of its own to tie the game.
Both teams scored one run in the 10th inning before Troy outscored Enterprise 4-3 in the 11th inning to claim a 7-6 win.
David Williams led Troy with a double and single. Jonathan Wade and Darrell Reynolds added two singles each.
Nathan Foster led Enterprise with two singles.
Shortstop Gage Nalley and pitcher Shane Adkinson finished with two singles each to lead Elba to a 13-3 win over Samson Saturday.
Rauce Hill led Samson with a fifth-inning home run. T.J. Preachers added a single and run.
Left fielder Bobby Martin blasted a three-run home run in the second inning to lead Greenville to a 14-0 shut out over Samson.
Joshua Longmire chipped in with a triple and single for Greenville, while Casey Weston finished with two doubles.
